SHIPPING POLICY
Last updated: June 19, 2026
Thank you for shopping with Carried In Light.
This Shipping Policy explains how orders are personalized, prepared, shipped, and delivered.
Our products are personalized and made to order. The time required to collect personalization details, prepare and approve the digital proof, produce the artwork, and ship the finished product is separate from the carrier’s delivery time.
Shipping Destinations
We currently ship to:
-
Poland;
-
European Union countries;
-
selected international destinations available at checkout.
Available destinations may depend on:
-
the product;
-
the delivery address;
-
carrier availability;
-
shipping restrictions;
-
the shipping options configured at checkout.
If your country is not available during checkout, please contact us before placing an order.
We cannot guarantee that delivery will be available to every country or territory.
Personalization and Proof Approval
After you place an order, we will contact you by email to collect the personalization details required to create your artwork.
These details may include:
-
names;
-
dates;
-
locations;
-
custom text;
-
occasion or event information;
-
other details required for the selected artwork.
We will prepare a digital proof and send it to you for review before printing.
You are responsible for reviewing the proof carefully and notifying us of any required corrections before approving it.
Production will normally begin after:
-
we have received all required personalization details; and
-
you have approved the digital proof.
Delays in providing personalization details, responding to our messages, requesting corrections, or approving the proof will delay production and the estimated delivery date.
Production and Order Processing Time
Personalized orders are usually produced and prepared for dispatch within 2–3 business days after:
-
all required personalization details have been received;
-
any necessary questions have been resolved; and
-
the digital proof has been approved.
Business days do not include Saturdays, Sundays, or public holidays in Poland.
Production may take longer where:
-
the customer requests corrections or changes;
-
additional personalization information is required;
-
the order contains multiple products;
-
there is a high volume of orders;
-
production is affected by a public holiday;
-
a technical, printing, material, or quality-control issue occurs;
-
circumstances outside our reasonable control affect production.
If we expect a material delay, we will contact you where reasonably possible.
Production time does not include carrier transit time.
Changes and Cancellation Before Dispatch
Because each artwork is personalized, changes may no longer be possible after the proof has been approved or production has started.
If you need to correct or cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible.
We will review whether the requested change or cancellation is still possible, but we cannot guarantee it.
The statutory 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to the customer’s specifications or clearly personalized.
This does not affect statutory rights where a product is damaged, defective, incorrect, or otherwise not in conformity with the contract.
Please refer to our Refund, Return & Withdrawal Policy for further information.
Estimated Delivery Times
Estimated carrier transit times after dispatch are:
-
Poland: 1–3 business days;
-
European Union: 3–7 business days;
-
selected international destinations: approximately 7–14 business days, depending on the destination.
These estimates begin when the parcel has been handed over to the carrier.
Production and proof-approval time must be added to the carrier transit time.
Unless expressly stated as guaranteed, delivery times are estimates and may be affected by:
-
carrier or postal disruptions;
-
customs procedures;
-
public holidays;
-
local postal conditions;
-
severe weather;
-
strikes;
-
incorrect or incomplete delivery information;
-
the customer’s failure to accept or collect the parcel;
-
circumstances genuinely outside our reasonable control.
Nothing in this Policy limits any statutory rights where an order is not delivered within the agreed period or within the time required by applicable law.
If delivery is materially delayed, please contact us so that we can investigate and provide the assistance or remedy required under applicable law.
Shipping Methods
Available shipping methods will be displayed during checkout.
The available options may depend on:
-
the delivery country;
-
the delivery address;
-
the parcel size and weight;
-
carrier availability;
-
the current shipping configuration of the store.
We may use postal operators, courier companies, parcel networks, or other delivery providers.
A particular carrier is not guaranteed unless it is expressly identified as part of the selected shipping option.
Shipping Costs
Shipping costs are calculated and displayed during checkout before the order is submitted.
Shipping costs may depend on:
-
the destination;
-
the selected shipping method;
-
the parcel size and weight;
-
carrier rates;
-
any promotional shipping offer available at the time of purchase.
No shipping charge payable to us will be added after the order has been placed unless:
-
the customer requests a change;
-
additional delivery costs result from incorrect information supplied by the customer;
-
reshipment is requested after an unsuccessful delivery attributable to the customer;
-
the customer expressly agrees to the additional charge.
Customs Duties and Import Charges
Orders shipped within the European Union are generally not subject to import customs duties when dispatched from Poland.
Orders shipped outside the European Union may be subject to:
-
customs duties;
-
import VAT or sales tax;
-
customs clearance fees;
-
carrier handling fees;
-
other charges imposed by the destination country.
Unless checkout expressly states that duties and import taxes are included, these charges are not included in the product price or shipping charge and may be payable by the recipient.
The customer is responsible for providing any information reasonably required for customs clearance and for paying applicable import charges where these have not been collected at checkout.
Customs procedures may delay delivery.
We are not responsible for customs decisions or charges imposed by public authorities, but this does not limit any statutory rights concerning fulfilment and delivery of the order.
Order Tracking
After an order has been dispatched, we will send a shipping confirmation email.
Where tracking is available for the selected delivery service, the email will include a tracking number or tracking link.
Tracking information may not update immediately after the parcel is handed over to the carrier.
In some cases, international tracking may update less frequently or be transferred to a local delivery provider after the parcel enters the destination country.
The absence of tracking updates does not by itself mean that a parcel has been lost.
Delivery Address
Please ensure that the delivery address provided during checkout is complete, current, and accurate.
This includes, where applicable:
-
recipient name;
-
street and building number;
-
apartment number;
-
postal code;
-
city;
-
country;
-
telephone number;
-
any delivery instructions required by the carrier.
If you notice an error, contact us as soon as possible.
We will try to update the address where the parcel has not yet been dispatched, but we cannot guarantee that changes will be possible after processing or production has begun.
We are not responsible for delays or unsuccessful delivery caused exclusively by incorrect, incomplete, outdated, or misleading information provided by the customer.
This does not limit our responsibility for errors made by us or by a delivery provider selected or offered by us.
Failed Delivery and Unclaimed Parcels
The customer is responsible for monitoring available tracking information and taking reasonable steps to receive or collect the parcel.
If delivery cannot be completed, the carrier may:
-
attempt delivery again;
-
leave delivery instructions;
-
redirect the parcel to a collection point;
-
hold the parcel for a limited period;
-
return it to us.
A parcel may be returned to us where:
-
the address is incorrect or incomplete;
-
delivery attempts are unsuccessful;
-
the recipient refuses delivery;
-
the recipient does not collect the parcel within the required period;
-
required customs charges are not paid;
-
the carrier is unable to contact the recipient.
If a parcel is returned to us, we will contact the customer where reasonably possible.
Because the product is personalized, return of an unclaimed or refused parcel does not automatically create a right to cancel the order or receive a refund.
Where the unsuccessful delivery was caused by circumstances attributable to the customer, we may request payment of the reasonable cost of reshipping the parcel.
If the delivery failure was caused by us or by a carrier selected or offered by us, we will arrange an appropriate remedy without charging the customer additional shipping costs.
Lost or Significantly Delayed Parcels
If tracking indicates that a parcel is significantly delayed, has stopped moving for an unusual period, or may have been lost, please contact us.
We will investigate the shipment with the carrier.
The investigation may require information such as:
-
the order number;
-
confirmation of the delivery address;
-
confirmation that the parcel has not been received;
-
information about any delivery attempts or messages from the carrier.
We may need to allow the carrier a reasonable period to trace the parcel.
However, a carrier investigation will not be used to unreasonably delay any remedy to which the customer is entitled under applicable consumer law.
Where a parcel handled by a carrier selected or offered by us is confirmed as lost, or is not delivered within the applicable agreed or statutory period, we will provide the appropriate remedy required by law.
Depending on the circumstances, this may include:
-
producing and sending a replacement;
-
arranging another delivery;
-
terminating the contract and issuing a refund where applicable.
Damaged Parcels or Products
If your parcel or product arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.
To help us investigate transport damage efficiently, we recommend contacting us within 7 days of delivery.
This is a recommendation only. It is not a legal deadline and does not limit statutory consumer rights.
Please provide, where reasonably possible:
-
your order number;
-
a description of the damage;
-
clear photographs of the outer packaging;
-
clear photographs of the internal packaging;
-
clear photographs of the damaged product;
-
photographs of the shipping label;
-
any relevant information provided by the carrier.
Please retain the damaged product and packaging until we confirm that they are no longer needed, as the carrier may request evidence during the investigation.
Where the damage occurred before delivery to the customer, we will provide the remedy required under applicable law.
Depending on the circumstances, this may include:
-
replacement;
-
correction or reproduction;
-
price reduction;
-
termination of the contract and a refund.
The customer is not required to pursue the carrier directly where we remain legally responsible for the shipment.
Delivery and Passing of Risk
For consumer orders, the risk of accidental loss or damage generally remains with us until the goods are physically received by:
-
the customer; or
-
a third party designated by the customer, other than the carrier.
Handing the parcel to a carrier selected or offered by us does not by itself transfer the risk to the consumer.
If the customer independently appoints a carrier that was not offered by us, the risk may pass to the customer when the parcel is handed over to that carrier, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Nothing in this section limits mandatory consumer rights relating to delivery, damage, loss, or conformity of the product.
Partial or Multiple Shipments
Where an order contains more than one product, we may ship the products together or in separate parcels.
If an order is divided into multiple shipments:
-
the customer will not be charged additional shipping costs unless this was agreed in advance;
-
separate tracking information may be provided for each parcel;
-
parcels may arrive on different dates.
Customer Support
If you have concerns about a shipment, please contact us before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute where reasonably possible.
We will make reasonable efforts to investigate and resolve delivery issues.
This request does not limit your right to contact your payment provider or exercise any statutory rights.
Changes to This Shipping Policy
We may update this Shipping Policy to reflect changes to:
-
shipping destinations;
-
delivery providers;
-
production processes;
-
delivery estimates;
-
customs arrangements;
-
applicable laws;
-
our business operations.
The updated Policy will apply to future orders from the date it is published.
The shipping terms applicable to an existing order are generally those in effect when the order was placed, unless a change is required by law or agreed with the customer.
The “Last updated” date will be revised whenever this Policy is updated.
