A custom star map based on real light travel.

Choose a date you want to honor — for example a birth, wedding, or anniversary. Then choose a second date and place for the sky shown on the print.

The two dates must be at least 15 years apart. We mark stars whose light travel time corresponds to the time between those dates. The result is a personal, minimalist print connecting two moments through real astronomical data.
For example: if the two dates are 40 years apart, we can mark stars about 40 light-years away.

How it works

  1. Choose your two dates (minimum 15 years apart) and a location.
  2. We chart the sky and mark the connecting stars, using data from ESA's Gaia and Hipparcos missions.
  3. Within 24 hours (on weekdays) you receive a digital proof. One text or layout revision is included. We only print after your approval.

A standard star map shows the sky of a single night. Your Starlight Map connects two: the sky above you now, marked with the stars whose light set out when it all began.
